NCAA Office of Diversity and Inclusion Partners with Texas A&M University Laboratory for Diversity in Sport on Research and Diversity Awards

The NCAA Office of Diversity and Inclusion has partnered with the Texas A&M University Laboratory For Diversity in Sport to generate in-depth diversity and inclusion research and to identify NCAA institutions that embrace diversity and inclusion with their business practices in athletics.

NCAA and Collegiate Commissioners Association (CCA) Establish Oversight Structure for College Football Officiating

The NCAA and the Collegiate Commissioners Association (CCA) have established an oversight structure to enhance college football officiating. College Football Officiating LLC (CFO) will be governed by a board of 15 managers, composed of 11 representatives from the Division I Bowl Subdivision, two individuals from Division I Championship Subdivision conferences and two representatives appointed by NCAA President Myles Brand. In addition, the American Football Coaches Association has a representative in an ex officio capacity.

John Kerr was named head coach of the Duke men's soccer team. Kerr, a 1987 graduate of the university, returns to his alma mater after nine years at the helm of the Harvard men's program. While at Duke, Kerr was national player of the year in 1986 while leading the Blue Devils to the national title. He replaces John Rennie, who compiled a 410-161-34 record in 29 seasons at Duke.

NCAA National Office to close until 2008
