NCAA Sports and Championships

The NCAA administers 88 championships in 23 sports for its member institutions. Each championship is run by a committee of coaches and administrators from NCAA member schools who are experts in their sport.

There are several other sports for which the NCAA does not conduct championships or establish rules and regulations; these are traditionally called "club" sports.  More than 40,600 men and women student-athletes annually compete in these events for national titles.
